Heroes Season 1

So I recently started watching the Heroes Series on hulu. It's quite interesting. If some random girl that doesn't know much about philosophy or movies, she would probably say that M. Night Shamylan must have directed it because of all the twists. Well here's whats wrong with that:
1) It's too good of a series to be directed by him
and
2) The twists aren't BAD twists.
In my opinion, I think the only good movie M. Night directed was The Sixth Sense. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.
Anyways, back to my point: Heroes is a series where basically all of the characters have a genetic mutation in their G-Nome structure which gives them each unique abilities. The whole objective (as far as I know) is to stop a bomb from going off in New York. They must all unite together to save the world. Only 15 episodes into the first season and I'm hooked. My dad had seen it when it first started airing on NBC and he was also hooked. I never really thought it was cool back in 2006, partially because I was only 10, but also because those things just didn't appeal to me. But now that I'm older, I'm more interested in the paranormal and logical thinking. There are some things in this series so far that I would like to question. *SPOILER ALERT* If you have not watched this series or are planning to watch this, I wouldn't advise reading any further. I'm only in episode 15 but there are still so many spoilers.

I do have to question how they came up with every twist. What I'm most confused about is how Peter ends up being the atomic bomb? His power is absorbing the powers of others when they're near. He learns how to receive their powers again when they aren't around when he meets the invisible man, but what does that have to do with anything. I guess what I don't understand is how any of that leads up to him exploding. It makes no sense. I know I haven't gotten that far into it and I just need to keep watching, but I know that everyone was thinking this when they were watching the series.
Also, what's Sylar's deal? I get he's a nut job and all and I see his logic behind things (lol get it? Cause Spock thinks logically.....nevermind), but HOW did he get his powers? When Dr. Suresh came to see him, it was revealed that he didn't really have any powers and it was just a mistake, but he then took that Brian guys powers.... It makes no sense at all. Again, I just need to keep watching.

I invite you to join me as I watch the series and update on what my thoughts are. I would also like to hear your thoughts on the series. I just ask that no one spoils anything for anyone else. That would defeat the purpose. If you have already seen the entire series, I'd love to know what your thoughts were going along. But remember: NO SPOILERS! Thank you so much and I'll update ASAP.
